Virginia's MUNICIPAL WASTE reports that the band has just completed work on their fifth studio album. Lead singer Tony Foresta is ready & willing to unveil the name of the new album & its guests:

"We're calling the record The Fatal Feast and are expecting it to come out early next year along with a healthy dose of touring. The record is also going to feature some guest spots from John Connelly [guitarist & vocalist for Nuclear Assault], Steve Moore [who plays bass & synthesizers for Zombi], and [vocalist] Tim Barry [ex-Avail, Tim Barry]. The Waste is really looking forward to providing you with the soundtrack to the end of the world in 2012. See you there!"

MUNICIPAL WASTE's debut album for Nuclear Blast Records is slated for a Spring release; the band will also launch their world tour during that time.

Ich bin mal gespannt. Massive Agressive fand ich zwar gut, konnte für mich den Standart der Vorgängeralben aber nicht ganz halten. Bin trotzdem grundsätzlich erstmal optimistisch was das angeht! Ein weniger übergeiles Album muss ja nicht sofort ein Abwärtstrend sein.

Andere Erwartungshaltungen?

Hoffe die nächste Tour führt sie auch nochmal in die Nähe, waren letztes Mal in Essen ein großer Spass!

Ehrlicher Weise muss ich sagen, dass ich mich mit der Band nie ausreichend beschäftigt habe, um hier eine spezielle Erwartungshaltung zu haben. Bin einfach mal gespannt, wie die Scheibe sein wird.

Durch das Review von Marcel zu "Electrified Brain" angestachelt, höre ich mir noch die Alben von der Band an, die ich noch nicht kannte. Gestern waren "Massive Aggressive" und "Waste 'Em All" dran. Heute "Hazardous Mutation". Das haut mich zurzeit richtig aus den Schlappen. Besonders deren Debüt. Technisch gar nicht anspruchsvoll, aber dafür sehr wirkungsvoll.
