Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012Indeed!
It's pretty epic to get two new users from Texas on the very same day. ![]() So, first of all: Welcome to POWERMETAL.de! Secondly: Thanks for posting your links. And then... *klick* ... listening time... more later! alias Hugin der Rabe.

Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012Well, I listened to the two sample songs, and it's technically well done. If people are into neo-classical string fugato, they probably should check your band out. For me personally it's a bit uninspiring to choose exactly this style, because there are a couple of bands who have taken the style to its limits already, and you become generic too easily by walking in the footsteps of Malmsteen, Dragonforce, Rhapsody, Stratovarius and so on and so on. If you combined your approach with some more characteristic own features, you could get something going. Maybe work on a bit more destict vocal performance and try to find some special elements that do at least from time to time take you away from the generic neo-classical hyperspeed melodic power metal shelf.
And just out of curiosity: May I ask if you know whatever happened to HIEROPHANT? I kinda liked that band pretty much... alias Hugin der Rabe.

Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012. Thanks! We don't particularly believe that any style has a limit, and those bands are great by the way haha. We have become more evolved as musicians since our time in Hierophant, as you will hear in more upcoming songs, each of our pieces are going to have their own charicteristics.

Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012Sorry, but those two tracks do nothing to me. That mix of Euro-Flower Metal and neoclassical shredding fails for my taste. The vocals are pretty powerless. Like Rüdiger mentioned, it's technical well done, but in the end has no charisma in my book. No harm meant!

Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012Oh, I like this fast melodic power metal style. The guitars are very nice and 'turillish'.
. I would say u beat 2/3 of our actual soundcheck with those two songs. I would advise to work a little bit more with the vocals to get more power and sustain and then it will ROCK!!!![]() Realer Name: Thomas Becker
Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012Haha"turillish" Nice!! Thank you! And great advice, we are constantly working with our vocalist as he is still young and up-coming.

Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012I'm listening to "Seven Years Solstice" at the moment. Definitely well done, but the vocals definitely aren't fitting to the music.
And, when listening to the whole song at once (what usually is the normal way to listen to songs ), there aren't any great differences. Somehow, it's all the same.I can't find any bigger difference to 90% of Italy's or Finlands melodic metal bands. So, I'd say - a good start, but you still have your way to go, if you want to put yourself on the map of heavy metal.
Re: Enceladus power/speed metal 2012First of all: Definitly not bad. Technically, there's little to critisize. I agree too that especially the vocals need some work, especially to find the right tuning, it sometimes sounds like it's not "his" tune. With more practise and experience though, I'm positive that this is a base to start with, there are Vocalists out there who started with less.
And I say the same to you as I say to almost every high speed melodic Power Metal Band today: Technical finesse is fine, but the human ear can't distinct more than 16 notes per second. If you play faster, it gets mushy. Also, the faster you play, the less your technical finesse actually shows. Taking Dragonforce as example: I like the Songs best where they have some slower parts, or actually the Ballads. Try to take out some speed every now and then and I think the actual skill behind it will become even more obvious, and it will also help distinct your songs from that of other bands. Agree with the others, Highlights are the Guitars, "turillish" is actually quite an accurate term. It's a good place to start, if you make it more charismatic (Easier said than done ^^), then you're off on a good path. Top 5 Jahr 2015
